Fail to post on Instagram? See a "missed" mark on your schedules in the app?

This guide will help you solve the problem. Please follow each step in this guide.

Important: Apphi only supports Instagram Business accounts for scheduling and auto posting.

Step 1: Check the Instagram and Facebook page connection

To let Apphi auto post on your Instagram account, you'll need to link your Instagram account to a Facebook page.

How to check the connection:

  1. Log in to Facebook on your computer

  2. Go to the Facebook page you'd like to connect to your Instagram account

  3. Go to Settings > Instagram

From there, you can see the Instagram that is currently connected to your Facebook page.

If your Instagram account is not connected to a Facebook page, check this guide on how to connect an Instagram business account to a Facebook page.

Step 2: Check your role on the Facebook page

To enable auto post, you'll also need to have the admin or editor role on the Facebook page that is connected to your Instagram profile. If you're the Facebook page creator, you should already have the admin role. But if the Facebook page is created by someone else, you may not have been granted the admin or editor role for this Facebook page.

How to check your role:

  1. Log in to Facebook on your computer

  2. From your News Feed, click Pages in the left menu.

  3. Go to your Page and click Settings at the bottom left.

  4. Click Page Roles in the left column.

From here, you can see your role listed below your name.

If your role is not admin or editor, you will need to have the role to enable auto post. Only the admin can manage the role settings for a page.

Check this article to see how to check your role on a Facebook page.

Step 3: Check your app permissions

To auto post on your Instagram account, Apphi needs to be granted full permission to your Instagram accounts. It's important to allow access to all permissions. If one permission is missed, the connection will fail and the posts will fail too.

To check the permissions, you can reset your Instagram connection. This will allow you to reselect the permissions granted to Apphi and ensure Apphi has full access.

Check this guide on how to reset your Instagram connection.

Step 4: If you have more than one Instagram Business Account or Facebook Page

We recently found a technical issue on the Facebook side that if you have more than one Instagram Business account or Facebook Page, but do not want to manage all Accounts/Pages on Apphi, you'll still need to select all your Instagram Business Accounts and Facebook Pages when connecting to Apphi. If you only select one or a few from the list, your auto post will fail.

So make sure you select [All Instagram Business Accounts] and [All Pages]. If you don't want to add them all to Apphi, you can remove them from the Apphi app later.

If you already connected your Instagram accounts to Apphi but having this issue, follow the steps below to select all your accounts:

  1. Go to Apphi Settings

  2. Tap Added Social Account

  3. Tap the "+" button on the top right corner

  4. Select Instagram Business > Authenticate with Facebook > Open in "Facebook"

  5. On the Log in With Facebook page, select "Edit Settings" (see screenshot below). You'll see the list of your Instagram Business accounts after this page, make sure you select ALL Instagram business accounts and ALL Pages.
